Waymaker is operated by Waymaker Co. (“Waymaker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the Waymaker mobile application, website, and related services.
Waymaker is a Christian motivation app designed to help users build daily faith-based habits through devotionals, journaling, gratitude, blessings, reminders, widgets, music, and related features.

1. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you use Waymaker.
Account Information
- Name
- Email address
- Login provider information, such as Apple, Google, email/password, or guest account credentials
- Firebase user ID
- Authentication information needed to manage your account
- Subscription status and premium access status
Waymaker allows users to sign in through Firebase Authentication, including Sign in with Apple, Google login, email/password, and guest/anonymous account options.
Journal and Faith-Reflection Content
Waymaker allows users to create journal entries and faith-based reflections. Journal entries are stored in Firebase so they can be associated with your account.
Your journal content may include personal, spiritual, emotional, family, wellness, or faith-related information that you choose to enter. Please do not enter information that you do not want stored by the app.
Daily Activity and Streak Data
- Daily activity completion
- Streaks
- Progress toward daily faith habits
- Minutes listened to Waymaker Music
This information helps provide the core Waymaker experience.
Local-Only App Data
Some information is stored locally on your device and is not stored in Firebase by Waymaker, including:
- Daily gratitude prayer content
- Daily blessings
- Music favorites
- Reminder times
- Custom widget text
- Widget preferences
- Certain app preferences and personalization settings
Because this information is stored locally, it may be deleted if you delete the app, clear app data, change devices, or reset your device.
Subscription and Purchase Information
Waymaker offers premium features through Apple In-App Purchase. We use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions and premium access.
We may receive and store subscription-related information, including:
- Subscription status
- Premium entitlement status
- RevenueCat user identifiers
- Apple purchase status
- Renewal, cancellation, refund, or expiration status
- Premium access information stored in Firebase
We do not directly collect or store your full credit card number. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Music Usage Information
Waymaker Music allows users to stream faith-based music in the app. Premium songs may be stored using Cloudflare R2 and streamed through the app.
We may store or process:
- Whether you have premium access
- Minutes listened
- Access requests for premium songs
- Technical information needed to stream music securely
We do not currently track detailed listening history or personalize songs based on your activity.
Device, Analytics, and Crash Data
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app performance, improve features, and fix crashes.
This may include:
- Device type
- Operating system version
- App version
- Crash logs
- Performance data
- General feature usage
- Diagnostic information
We may use Google Analytics in the future. If we add additional analytics tools, we will update this Privacy Policy as needed.
Notifications and Reminders
Waymaker uses local notifications for reminders. Reminder times are stored on your device and are not stored in Firebase by Waymaker. We do not currently use push notifications.

2. Sensitive Spiritual and Personal Content
Waymaker is a faith-based app. Some features allow you to write or save personal reflections, prayers, journal entries, gratitude notes, blessings, or other spiritual content. This content may reveal sensitive information about your religious or spiritual beliefs, personal life, family, emotions, challenges, goals, wellness, and faith journey.
We use this information only to provide the app features you choose to use. We do not sell your journal entries, spiritual reflections, gratitude prayers, blessings, or faith-based content.
You are responsible for the information you choose to enter into the app. Please avoid submitting sensitive information that you do not want stored or processed.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate Waymaker, create and manage user accounts, save journal entries, track daily activity and progress, provide premium features, verify subscriptions, stream premium music securely, support widgets and reminders, improve functionality, analyze usage and performance, detect and fix technical issues, respond to support requests, protect against fraud and unauthorized access, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use private journal entries or spiritual reflections for third-party advertising.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers helping us operate Waymaker, including Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, Cloudflare R2, and Google Analytics (if added). We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights/users/public, prevent fraud/security issues, and enforce Terms of Use.
5. Third-Party Services
Waymaker currently uses or may use Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple App Store / StoreKit, Cloudflare R2, and Google Analytics (future use). If we add new services like ElevenLabs, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google advertising tools, or other providers, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
6. Subscriptions and Premium Features
Premium access is managed through Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat. We may store subscription status in Firebase to unlock premium features, including premium music and other paid content. Deleting your account does not cancel Apple subscriptions; cancellation must be handled via Apple ID settings.
7. Local Notifications, Reminders, and Widgets
Reminder times, custom widget text, widget preferences, and certain personalization settings are stored locally on your device. We do not currently send push notifications.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide Waymaker and meet legal, security, and operational obligations. Account deletion through the Settings page is designed to delete associated account data immediately through the app process. Some technical records may remain briefly in backups/logs/provider systems unless earlier deletion is legally required.
9. Account Deletion and Data Requests
You can delete your account from the app Settings page. We intend to delete account information, Firebase user data, journal entries, streak/activity data, and connected subscription status records where technically and legally possible. Local device data may be removed by deleting the app or clearing app data. Contact: support@waymaker-app.com.
10. Children and Teens
Waymaker is intended for users at least 13 years old. Users under 18 should use Waymaker with parent or legal guardian permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if discovered, we will take steps to delete it. Contact: support@waymaker-app.com.
11. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, limit certain uses of sensitive data where applicable, opt out of sale/sharing where applicable, and non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information and do not use private spiritual/journal content for third-party advertising. Requests: support@waymaker-app.com.
12. International Users
Waymaker is operated from the United States. If you use Waymaker from outside the U.S., information may be processed and stored in the U.S. or other places where providers operate. 13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. Waymaker uses Firebase and Apple-supported systems for authentication, storage, and platform security, with Firestore access rules designed to restrict data by user ID. No method is completely secure; keep your credentials secure.
14. No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, including journal entries, spiritual reflections, gratitude prayers, blessings, music activity, or account information. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide legally required notices or choices.
15. Advertising and Marketing
Waymaker does not currently use advertising SDKs, personalized in-app ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or ad retargeting tools, and does not currently send marketing emails or newsletters. If we add marketing/advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide required disclosures or choices.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or other means. Continued use after changes are posted means acceptance of the updated policy.
